Virginia and Family Health Plan
Any individual may opt to buy an Individual and Family Health Plan in Virginia, if-
- He/she is self employed
- He/she is enrolled in a group plan, but it does not cover spouses or dependents
- Individual's employer does not offer a group plan
- He/she is enrolled in a health plan, but the premiums are too high
- He/she is enrolled in a health plan, but your benefits needs have changed
Anthem BlueCross and BlueShield is a renowned organization that help people choose and buy an appropriate health care plan and also provide proper guidelines and detailed information that best suit the individual's needs.
Anthem Virginia Individual and Family Health Insurance Plans is divided into 3 broad categories-
- Bronze Plans - The plan covers 60% of your health care costs and 40% of the costs is borne by you.
- Silver Plans - The plan covers 70% of your health care costs and 30% of the costsis borne by you.
- Gold Plans - The plan covers 80% of your health care costs and 20% of the costs is borne by you
An individual may also opt to include catastrophic coverage or dental coverage in their health care plan depending on their requirements. Catastrophic coverage is a policy that requires lesser monthly payment and covers recommended preventive services. An individual less than 30years of age and if he/she has one of fourteen hardship exemptions, may qualify to purchase one of these plans. Dental coverage for children less than 18years of age are included in most of the health plans.

The division of vital records and health statistics of the Virginia department of health oversees and manages the collection, and distribution of public health and vital statistics data. The department works concurrently with other state and local agencies to provide technical assistance to users to procure the vital records, sort and solve problems and upgrade to meet the emerging health trends.

The division of Vital Records maintains a uniform system of registration and manages all certified copies of vital records and all related events registered in Virginia.
